The Auracles consists of Simon In’t Hout, who has been stalking Izzy since she started doing solo gigs whilst at uni. Since then he’s been trusted guitarist and bassist and most importantly sound man and gear head. Sean Williams on drums, a podcast listening, truck driving, country NSW hailing keeper of all rhythms. Sean made the band complete since mid 2015, making this tight trio really start to get serious about the music again.
‘Outlast the Storm’ was the debut EP featuring 5 songs, and available on all good online music stores and Real Music Vinyl CD in Little Malop St Geelong. It received local commercial and community radio play, and gave Izzy Losi and the Auracles a foot in the door to many local music festivals.
Izzy is no stranger to the Australian music scene. Not only is she a volunteer presenter at local radio station 94.7 The Pulse, interviewing many notable Australian musicians over the years. She has had the pleasure of supporting artists such as Mia Dyson, Monique Brumby, HUSKY and Courtney Barnett.
Izzy has been involved in the the following opportunities:
2017 Geelong Best Busker Finalist
2017 Girls Rock! Melbourne keyboard instructer
2016 Recorded 7 new songs at The Base Recording Studios, South Melbourne with with Mark Leahy (The Twoks) as producer
2016 $1000 Merchandise/Apparel Sponsorship from VIC business YNH Merch
2016 Queenscliff Music Festival Best Busker Winner, earning spot on the 2017 line-up
2015 Vodafone + Hijacked and ‘The One’ music competition
2015 Crowdfunded $5000 for new EP
2014 Telstra Road to Discovery – Bootcamp Melbourne Heat Winner + Semi-finalist
Since recording the latest EP, Izzy has decided to dedicate 100% of her time to her songwriting and performing. Izzy has been a pianist of over 18 years, and a songwriter of over 13 years. Izzy found that her full time job was holding her back from her passion for songwriting and was stopping her music from being heard. A courageous move for a young educated woman to make. This is how passionate Izzy is about reaching out and doing whatever it takes for her music to be delivered in front of wider audiences in 2017 and beyond.
Since Izzy and her band finished producing their new EP ‘The Only Constant is Change’ they have already written another EP’s worth of material for a third release, which they hope to have in production mid 2017. Stay tuned for the imminent release of Izzy Losi and the Auracles new single.
