Biography

Vox Angelica Geelong Chamber Choir is a new high level 18 voice mixed choir singing a varied repertoire of 14th to 21st century sacred and secular music in up to 8 parts.

Concerts for 2017: How Shall We Sing in a Strange Land? 8pm Wednesday 12th April, St Mary’s Basilica, including works by Monteverdi, Durufle, Casals, Joseph Twist, Karl Jenkins and a commissioned piece. Do I Love You More Than a Day? 3pm Sunday 17th September, with works by Brahms, Vaughan Williams, Whitacre and others.

The Director, Tom Healey, an experienced conductor, singer and organist, is former Director of Music at Geelong Grammar, where he directed the internationally prize winning choir, and former director of the Geelong Chorale, Geelong Summer Music Camp choirs, the choir of Choral Scholars at St Andrew’s Brighton, and the Choir of Trinity College, Melbourne University. He has sung with the Australian Chamber Choir, and recorded and broadcast as a singer and conductor.
