Beyond pink and blue: challenging gender stereotyping from the early years

A panel of experts discuss the effects of rigid gender stereotyping on children and on our society. The panel, which includes Early Childhood Practitioner Professor Glenda MacNaughton, Social Worker and mother Jess Boccia and Lecturer in Children’s Literature, Dr Michelle Smith, will explore the origins of the gendered nature of violence. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q & A session.In partnership with Reclaim the Night, Barwon Community Legal Service, Deakin University and Barwon South West Women’s Service.
