Painting the Landscape
Participants of this class will learn the process of working ‘en Plein Air’. A French expression which means "in the open air" and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors, which is also called peinture sur le motif ("painting of the object(s) or what the eye actually sees")

Description

With discussion of materials and working methods, we will start with drawings and build the participants visual knowledge enabling them to complete small painted studies quickly and with confidence. This can then be the basis of larger studio paintings. Although the class will be primarily done in oils, those who wish to work in Watercolour or Acrylic are more than welcome.
