What is on offer?
Auditions are open for the forth-coming production of MACBETH – at the Geelong West Town Hall (performance dates: March 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, April 1 2017)
Presented by the award-winning independent theatre company – SOOT, this version of Shakespeare’s remarkable play will have you spell-bound.
Tickets are already on sale for the show – with 40 already sold for opening night, so it is shaping up as a production to remember!
We have been overwhelmed (in a good way) with interest, but because we are an egalitarian company and do not pre-cast, we’d love to see ANYONE who would like to audition. If you are over 18 come along – we don’t mind if you’re an old hand at Shakespeare, or a newby – just try your luck.
Auditions are Saturday 22nd, Sunday 23rd and Tuesday 25th October – but only a few time slots remain on all three dates.
All roles are up for grabs and we are aiming for a cast of 14, and rehearsals will commence mid-January 2017 (Tues, Thurs evenings, Sunday arvos)
The production will be set in the 50s – a time of burgeoning freedoms, world issues, and complicated politics. This is a tale of love, lust, ambition, hubris, greed, murder and the ultimate investigation of the human condition.
Contact the director – Christine Davey on email@example.com for more information, or to book a time.
