Music Works – Rockin’ the Laneways
Amazing opportunity!

What is on offer?

Creative Victoria is offering funding for projects that link to music history across Victoria. The Rockin’ the Laneways program offers funding of up to $25,000 for public art, digital projects, trails, signage or anything that is of significance to your town. Projects must reflect relevant music history. Be quick, closes 11 October

Rockin’ the Laneways is an initiative of the Music Works package, designed to transform Victoria’s contemporary music sector and boost opportunity and employment. These grants will support projects that highlight Victoria’s celebrated popular music history, attract cultural tourism and encourage fans to discover more about Victoria’s rich music history.

It’s not all about rock and roll and it’s not all about laneways! Creative Victoria welcomes projects and partnerships from organisations and small businesses across the music spectrum who want to develop their businesses and ideas to create must-see events and music destinations across Victoria.

Rockin’ the Laneways grants are also available to support ideas to develop music trails exploring Victoria’s Aboriginal music heritage, council walks and new signs in musically important places. Grants can be requested for the development of innovative digital projects, creating events, activity and music-based installations in musically significant spaces.

This program is part of the Victorian Government’s Music Works initiative and is being delivered through the Government’s creative industries strategy, Creative State. It aims to; grow Victoria’s creative industries; enhance Victoria’s position as a global creative leader; and engage more Victorians in cultural and creative endeavour.
