The National Wool Museum wants you!

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST CRAFT DEMONSTRATORS : SCARF FESTIVAL© 2016

We are calling on expressions of interest from those interested in presenting craft demonstrations or workshops during the annual Scarf Festival© from 3 June to 4 September, 2016. This year’s theme is: Myths & Legends.

Last year’s festival was a great success, with a record 449 scarves entered from across Australia and overseas.

The involvement of our volunteer demonstrators is a great asset to our exhibition program, a draw for many visitors and a great way to introduce our visitors to a broad range of arts and craft techniques and materials.

We aim to have at least one demonstrator or demonstration group scheduled for each day of the week (the Museum is open 7 days), from approx 10am to 3pm, ensuring there is always something for visitors to see and learn during their visit to the festival.

Our visitors love watching our artisans and crafters at work and enjoy speaking with you about your craft.

If you would like to be involved, please fill out the “expression of interest” form below and indicate which day/s would be most suitable for you.  Forms can be returned by email, mail or in person.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at the details below.
