Take a journey with Back to Back Theatre

Posted 8 June 2017

Inspired by an ensemble of actors with intellectual disabilities, Back to Back Theatre creates new work in Geelong, and takes it to audiences around the world. Written from the hearts and minds of the actors, our work explores social and political issues that speak to all people.

We are committed to producing artistic opportunities for people with and without disability in our community. We look to our community to tell us stories about the world, many of which thread through the development of major works. Through audacious artistic practice we strive to stretch perceptions of what is possible in our society.

It’s an exciting time to join Back to Back, as we embark on a new screen project, tour our latest major work LADY EATS APPLE in Europe, develop delightfully ruthless experimental programs with our community participants and begin devising a new show.

Your donation will help us to create daring original work, give voice to those not always heard and contribute to a richer, more diverse Australian culture.

We’d love to have you by our side as we venture into a new financial year.

Hugs, Back to Back Theatre
