The Hornets are back at the Chicken Shop!

“Steeped in the blues, they rise out of the Yarra delta via the American deep south, meeting at the mythical cross roads where Chicago grit has blown in”… so said Warrick McFadyen of The Age when describing The Hornets.
The Hornets feature some of the country’s well known and respected musicians. They have released six CDs , to rave reviews and have gained a regular following of devoted fans as a result of their many live performances, around the country, Consequently, The Age named The Hornets “The best blues band in Melbourne”, and the Herald Sun said the band “demanded attention”. Singer song-writer Craig Horne together with ARIA Hall of Fame inductee guitarist Jeff Burstin from Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons and the Black Sorrows, are joined by Bruce Haymes(Paul Kelly, Renee Geyer) on keys, Yuri Pavlinov (Bamboos) on bass and Chris Tabone (Renee Geyer, Junes and Bad Loves) With a musical pedigree like this, it will be a show not to be missed. For this show The Hornets will pay tribute to their long term bass player and Daddy Cool stalwart the late Wayne Duncan.
