2020-2021 Creative Communities Grant Program temporarily suspended

Posted 21 April 2020

The Greater Geelong council has agreed to temporarily suspend its 2020-2021 Community Grants program, including the Creative Communities Grant Program and conduct a review, aiming to re-tailor the funding towards grants streams that will provide maximum support in the region’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Details of the revised 2020-2021 grants program will be shared once the review is complete and the council has approved any proposed changes to the distribution of funding.

The council has also agreed to review applications for remaining funding in the 2019-2020 community grants program, to assess which proposals could and could not go ahead in the current environment.

Recommendations for this funding will now come before council by 26 May 2020, once the review has taken place.
