Jacki Burke paints seascapes, landscapes and portraits using oils, acrylic & sometimes mixed media, often immersing herself in the same topic and or medium for a couple of years to really explore the feeling and message of what she sees.
Having intermittently studied with many well-known artists and teachers she has developed a variety of techniques and use of mediums. Jacki’s bold contemporary paintings have an ethereal style that has now earnt her recognition as a leading emerging and increasingly collectable artist. As a self-taught artist of 30 years a decision to go full time painting in 2008 turned into an amazing career move that has expanded to teaching others the fundamentals of color and painting whilst regularly exhibiting in Galleries and collaborating on projects with other artists.
As a professional her artworks are in constant demand for exhibitions and commissioned pieces with pieces hanging throughout Australia and in many countries internationally. Jacki has been nominated as a semi finalist int he Doug Moran Portrait Prize 2016.
