The Glass Trail
The Glass Trail links twelve glass artists, craftspeople and businesses in the Geelong area (Australia) in a ‘trail’ for locals and visitors to follow.

Members of The Glass Trail work in different glass mediums from hot glass (e.g. fusing, slumping and lamwork) through to cold glass techniques (e.g. leadlighting, mosaics and glass beadweaving).

People who follow The Glass Trail will see a wide variety of glass art  including jewellery, sculpture and funcational household items,  hand-made locally.

On Studio visits they can learn something about how these items are made and may see demonstrations of glass workers’ various intricate techniques.

Several of The Glass Trail members are award-winning artists and visiting their Studios provides a unique opportunity to see some of these pieces ‘in the flesh’. The Glass Trail is an initiative of the Festival of Glass. Promoting the twelve participants in The Glass Trail – and encouraging them to promote each other – furthers the Festival’s aim of promoting the Geelong area as a centre of glass activity.
