Biography
Wendy Grose is an actor and musician. Wendy’s numerous credits in theatre and opera include performances with The Royal Opera, Covent Garden, Welsh National Opera, Opera de Lyon, Chamber Made Opera, Back to Back Theatre, The Production Company and the Queensland Theatre Company. She has appeared as a featured recitalist in Britain, Italy, France and Australia, as soloist with orchestras internationally and in broadcasts for the BBC and ABC.
Wendy’s television credits include Blue Heelers, Kath and Kim, Sea Change, Whatever happened to that guy, Neighbours and Marshall Law.
With her accompanist, Len Vorster, Wendy has 4 shows currently which tour nationally and internationally (2 comedies, a cabaret and a drama). Wendy was featured in The Weekly Times’ Hall of Fame 2002 for her portrayal of inspiring Australian Opera singer, Marjorie Lawrence, in her show “A Different Hat”.
Wendy was soprano soloist for the Royal Opera Covent Garden’s education department, is presently a teaching artist for the Victorian Arts Centre and is on the vocal staff at University of Melbourne and Monash University. She regularly devises and directs productions with diverse community groups and conducts workshops in drama, voice production, French language and diction, singing, and music for people of all ages and abilities.
Wendy regularly performs at festivals nationally and internationally. She recently played the role of Dubbo housewife in Menopause the Musical and performed with London’s innovative Amici Dance Theatre in ‘Tightrope’.
