Celebrating Social Inclusion Week and International Day of People with a Disability through story telling.

In honour of this year’s Social Inclusion Week and International Day of People with a Disability, Geelong Regional Libraries are very proud to be hosting an event with author Marie Younan for her book ‘A Different Kind of Seeing’.
Marie was born into a family of Assyrian refugees living in Syria and then Lebanon when she was accidentally blinded as a baby. Escaping the Lebanese civil war, she was eventually sponsored by her family to come to Australia, which ultimately changed everything for her.
Marie will be joined by co-author Jill Sanguinetti and sharing her amazing story with award-winning author, Chloe Hooper.
This inspiring story will be livestreamed at 3pm on Wednesday 26 November on Facebook and available on demand from 7.30pm on YouTube.
Make sure you register to to receive convenient reminders, or simply tune into our Facebook page at 3.00pm to participate.
