Effie in Love Me Tinder Announces Second Show in Geelong

There’s an exciting announcement! Due to popular demand Effie has added a second show here in Geelong!

Her original 7pm on Saturday 4th April show is almost completely sold-out so she’s going to perform again that night at 9pm.

On the back of a successful tour wowing full-house crowds from the Blue Mountains to Wollongong and everywhere in between last year, it seems only right that the rest of the nation gets a chance to see everyone’s favourite gregarious Greek goddess Effie (the alter-ego of Acropolis Now’s big-haired, break-out star Mary Coustas) – including the town where her comedy career kicked off, Geelong!

Since her days studying drama at Deakin, Mary has garnered numerous awards, including a Logie, an ARIA award with Norman Gunston, as well as sold-out national tours of Star Wogs in 2018, and her critically acclaimed one-woman show: Effie the Virgin Bride in 2016 & 2017. Now a newly minted digital dating doyenne, the Effie in Love Me Tinder show sees the Logie Award Winning legend share her hilarious and on trend Tinder tales and temptations in a very up close and personals way – how embarrassment!

Effie holds up a mirror to the complexities of finding love and keeping it, as only she can. Newly married to her beloved Shane Bradley Cooper, Effie is now experiencing what she calls the seventh month itch. Finding love isn’t easy and keeping it’s even harder. The urge to swipe right is tempting even to those with the greatest of willpowers. Who isn’t on Tinder? Is it possible to be smokin’ hot and hit upon every day and still stay faithful? Is it love at first sight or love at first swipe?

Don’t miss the chance to laugh out loud along with – and at – Effie live on Saturday 4th April at the Geelong Arts Centre (7pm & now the additional show of 9pm).

*Please note, she will also be playing the night before on Friday 3rd April at the Yarraville Club in Melbourne at 8:30pm.
