Emerging Artist Completes First Street Art Project

Emerging local artist completed the biggest project he has worked on yet!

20 year old Connor, has produced an incredible Street Art Mural located in Little Ryrie Street Carpark.

Facilitating the project with the involvement of 5 other young talents from Whittington, the project was completed over the long weekend. As a collective team, the group assisted Connor with the larger works and also worked on the block wall.

Connor was fantastic in his role as a facilitator! Working alongside the others, he taught them all aspects of aerosol art for the first time.

Connor received expressions of interest from 2 local business owners wanting murals on their properties.

Many  community members stopped by to have a look at the artwork and chatted with those involved in the project. The feedback from the community was so positive, wanting more street art to appear within the Geelong CBD!

Tania Dudas was thrilled to also work alongside these emerging talented artists and explains how privileged she is to represent the Geelong Council and showcase the talents who are contributing positively within the community. As a youth worker she assists in providing young people opportunities for new experiences, to learn new skills ensuring they  feel connected to their community.
