Handbags can’t change the world…but the women
who carry them can. We transport our lives around in
our handbags – this is an opportunity to create your
own carry-all that is beautiful, bespoke and practical.
Join CrossXpollinatioN feature artist Nicola Cerini
and a bunch of other bag making enthusiasts for
an afternoon of fun, creating a simple but beautiful
cloth tote bag with seatbelt webbing straps, lining,
pocket and magnetic closure. The bags will be made
out of Nicola’s gorgeous signature fabrics, which are
inspired by the natural world.
Quick sewers will also have the opportunity to make
bunting!
All materials are provided but if you have some
special fabric you’d like to use, feel free to bring it
along. No experience is necessary. Suitable for age
15 and over.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own
sewing machine. Please arrive by 9.30am so that
COPACC can test and tag your appliance prior to
you plugging it in.
RSVP: By Monday 8 July to
