Bronze Stories : Geelong Unearthed Public Launch

WHETHER YOU’RE A RESIDENT OR VISITOR, DEEPEN YOUR EXPERIENCE OF OUR HISTORIC AND WONDERFUL CITY BY THE BAY.

Bronze Stories : Geelong Unearthed is a text-based public art project which unearths Geelong’s fascinating history in the rapidly modernising urban landscape.

10 amazing stories about the Wadawurrung people, convicts, migrants, Geelong’s maritime history, the gold rush, WWI and WWII have been immortalised on bronze plaques outside historic sites in the Geelong CBD.

The bronze plaques contain fragments of text designed to capture your imagination. Learn the full history by downloading the Geelong Arts, Culture and Heritage Trails app to your device.
