22 February 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm| $80.00
11th generation Venetian master glass blower Davide Salvadore will light up the furnace at the Flying Brick Cider Co to blow pieces of stunning glass art.
Be “blown away” by the flair and skill of Davide Salvadore and get close-up views as he creates extraordinary glass art using a gas furnace.
Davide lives and works on the island of Murano (Venice, Italy), which has been famed for centuries for its glass art. He is internationally renowned for his large and spectacular blown glass vessels and sculptures. Be entranced as you watch him gather hot glass onto his blow pipe and shape it into fascinating vessels and sculptures.
There will be a commentary by a local glass artist explaining what Davide is doing as he sculpts the glass. Large screens will show the glass blowing close-up.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet a talented and renowned glass blowing Maestro and watch him work, while enjoying fabulous food and drink from the Bellarine Peninsula.
One of Davide’s unique and highly collectable small sculptures will be the major prize in a limited ticket raffle along with other door prizes on the night.
