Artist and teacher Jennifer Tuck resolved to spend 2019 making art from materials she found abandoned. Using the heart as metaphor for reloving, Jennifer has created an installation of heart shaped objects from materials that initially seemed too imperfect or damaged.
The concept for the exhibition came from a heart created as a gift for a friend. The response was heartfelt and inspired Jennifer to keep exploring the form and materials of an icon that is so familiar.
Free Love, with hearts that are illuminated, waxed, varnished, dripped and painted, is a commitment to friends, family and the planet.
