Help shape what’s next for Victoria’s creative industries
14 August @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
To our creative industries colleagues and supporters,
The Victorian Government is seeking views from across the state’s creative community to inform its next four-year creative industries strategy, for the period 2020-2024.
All Victorians, whatever their connection to the creative sector, are invited to contribute their insights and ideas relating to the issues, challenges and opportunities ahead for Victoria’s creative industries.
Geelong Performing Arts Centre and the City of Greater Geelong will make a formal submission to the strategy development process, representing the aspirations and needs of our greater Geelong region.
To better inform our submission, we’d like to hear from you first-hand. We are hosting a workshop and you are invited to come along and contribute. Some of you may have already received and responded to this invitation, however I would like to personally extend an invite to ensure our region’s creative industries are well represented. To those who have already confirmed attendance, thank you for your support.
When: Wednesday 14th August
Workshop: 5.30pm – 7pm
Networking, wine and cheese: 7pm – 8pm
Where: Drama Theatre, Geelong Performing Arts Centre
Please RSVP to by Monday 5th August.
Please also feel free to share this invitation with your creative networks in the region.
The workshop will be facilitated by a great friend of the arts in our region, Bryce Ives. Ahead of this workshop, we encourage you to visit http://www.engage.vic.gov.au/creative-strategy for further context. You can also make your own contribution to the consultation via this website or find out about the public forums being held across the state.
We look forward to you attending the workshop and for your contribution.
