International Women’s Day Craftivism Workshop

Get creative and make badges, stickers, ribbons and other crafts to celebrate International Women’s Day.
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women as well as opportunity to recognise how far we have come towards gender equality as wells highlight what work still needs to be done.
This year’s theme is ‘Choose to Challenge’ – (Gender Bias and Inequality) and in the lead up to International Women’s Day we are inviting young people to join us for a craftivism workshop where will we make badges, stickers, ribbons and other crafts to be used at the City of Greater Geelong Women in Community Life Awards Event and for you to celebrate International Women’s Day with your friends.
So, if you are into whether you’re into making things, art and crafts, activism or gender equality join us at Platform Youth Arts on Monday 1 March 4-6pm for this free workshop.
This workshop is for young people aged 12-25 years old and welcomes trans and gender diverse young people.
