Introduction to Alcohol Ink, hands-on workshop with Deidre Ogilvie

5 March @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

| $10

Make your masterpiece – even if you’re a beginner!

This experimental class is designed to introduce participants to the magic of alcohol ink. It will be a hands-on class with materials and instruction designed to inspire participants to experiment with this medium and come away with their own masterpiece. Deidre supplies specialist paper for this type of ink, but participants can also bring their own glass or tile to experiment with. Maximum 10 participants.

The class is being taught by Deidre Ogilvie, who works mainly in oils and watercolour, but has been exploring mixed media recently. Deidre facilitates a water colour group, exhibits regularly in local exhibitions and has had solo exhibitions  in the UK and Italy. Her inspiration comes mainly from her travels and photographs she has taken recreating her favourite scenes. She also paints for children’s bedrooms with a vision to decorate with lifelong memories. Instagram: @ogilviedeidre  Exhibiting online at: Gallery247.com.au; Bluethumb.com.au

Cost: $10, includes all materials. Ring 0431 996 609, or email to book a place.

Before or after the class, take the opportunity to view the works by Deidre and other artists in the ‘Creativity Cluster’ exhibition at the Renew Geelong Concept Space, 107 Moorabool Street, in the Market Square Shopping Centre (which is also where the workshop is being held).
