Downes Lane, Downes Place, John Street – Geelong CBD
StreetLife Festival is Geelong’s 1st laneways music festival & street party. The concept takes inspiration from Melbourne’s home grown St Jerome’s Laneway Festival which sprang up as a laneway bar a few years back and has now gone on to become a global event.
StreetLife spreads across three central alleyways in the heart of the city’s emerging cafe, arts and entertainment precinct. The live music will be spread over a main stage with multiple pop up performances in various laneways. Spend a day listening to rad tunes, downing deliciously cold beers and ciders, demolishing a range of street foods and generally having a great time among friends.
Headlining the fest are The Delta Riggs and Jinja SafarI together with triple j’s Sarah Howells spinning a few tracks behind the console.
THE DELTA RIGGS – renowned for pumping out high-energy jams and ferocious live shows; expect their performance at StreetLife to be a real highlight.
JINJA SAFARI – one of the country’s most endearing indie-pop outfits and since being Unearthed by triple j in 2011 have gained substantial momentum both here and abroad.
The remainder of the fest includes great local talent including, Residual, Imogen Brough, Revolution, Levi Anderson, Jack Harman, Izzy Losi & Luke Biscan among others.
