Torch & Talk: blowing and sculpting a glass goblet

Come and watch Cedric Ginart and Karina Gevin (Canada) make one of their stunning lampwork glass goblets. They will talk you through their processes and inspiration as they work and there will be plenty of opportunity forĀ  questions.

Drinks at bar prices with finger food provided.

Cedric Ginart is a scientific glass blower and a glass artist. He has worked with scientists, artists, industrialists, designers and architects on experimental projects, creating unique artwork and prototypes as well as limited-run series and art installations.

Karina Guevin is a sculptor and a glass artist. Her approach to glass is very innovative as she tries to push the envelope technically and aesthetically in her work. The form and colour come from the bottom of her soul and reflect her crazy bubbly personality.

Cedric and Karina work together regularly teaching flameworking for many international schools. This will be their first time teaching in Australia. Please see the Festival of Glass website for further information on the workshops that Cedric and Karina will be doing whilst at the Festival of Glass.
