Free Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Live Stream Performance
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra wants the show to go on and will make sure it does with a new “Keep the Music Going” initiative.

The final performance of Scheherazade on Monday March 16 will be live streamed on Youtube at 7pm direct from Melbourne’s Hamer Hall. Peruvian conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya will lead the perfomance in his MSO debut.
The symphonic suite, by great Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov, was inspired by a collection of Middle Eastern and Indian tales known as The Thousand and One Nights (or The Arabian Nights). It was composed in 1888 and draws on Rimsky-Korsakov’s career as an officer in the Imperial Russian Navy.
Also live streaming on Youtube: Beethoven and Mendelssohn, one of the great violin concertos, on Thursday March 19; and To Bach and Back, which will present the genius of Bach – refashioned – with classical accordionist James Crabb performing as soloist on March 26.
