From tiny homes to big ideas Green Living Festival is back
Encouraging the community to think seasonally, grow locally, live sustainable and have fun along the way.
The Anglesea Community Garden is hosting its SECOND Green Living Festival in April and are seeking artisans and crafters!
Having an enormous attraction last year the Green Living Festival is growing and evolving, becoming bigger and better.
Last year the inclusion of talented creatives who were involved included book binders, pottery, back strap weaving, inkleweaving and calligraphy. Expressions of interest for 2020 are now being sought out. With a focus on sustainability, growing food and reducing waste there will be loads of activities, speakers and demonstrations along with surprise entertainment !
The aim of the day is to not only celebrate the amazing things that are happening around sustainability in the local community, but encourage others to think seasonally, grow locally, live sustainable and most of all have some fun along the way doing it.
This year a host of activities planned throughout the day include:
- A pop up market showcasing sustainable products and wares, local food and some of our local champions and initiatives
- Recycled clothing
- Mini master classes from composting to keeping worms to wicking beds . . . .
- Open garden
- EV display
- Vanishing Crafts and Lost Skills Alley
- Electric bikes to try
- Cooking demonstrations
- Art installations
- Sustainable building ideas
- Children’s activities and much more
If you are interested in demonstrating your skills and becoming involved, submit an expression of interest today !
Get in contact with Winsome Coutts. This is not a profit-making exercise for the Garden, but rather educational and fun.
