The libraries have put in place safe strict hygiene rules: 72 hour book quarantine is now in place. There are still plenty of interactive online features on their website and the opportunity to view the current Word for Word Festival online.

Returning to daily operations, the Geelong Gallery has also reopened from 10am to 5pm. While some of you will be keen to visit and engage with the collection and exhibitions more closely, the gallery will also continue to run a range of programs and online exhibitions for individuals who would prefer to participate from a distance or who are unable to visit us at this time. Refer to the conditions of entry before you pre-book your free, timed-entry ticket.
Geelong Arts Centre – PARTIALLY RE-OPEN
Geelong Arts Centre’s Ryrie Street Building is currently partially open and is offering a range of services and opportunities for the community, including performance spaces for live streaming events, creative rehearsal spaces for work that cannot be done from home, under 18 dance classes and the Creative Engine program.
Complementing onsite activity, the Geelong Arts Centre continues to offer a rich online experience through their popular Where Creativity Meets At Home series including live-stream performances, behind the scenes moments, digital content and creative activities on their website and social media channels for their audiences.
National Wool Museum – OPENING SOON
Some exciting NEW exhibitions are coming soon to the National Wool Museum, as they prepare to open their doors on the 22nd of November you can check out the We The Makers Create website in the meantime. There are plenty of videos and tips on how you can get creative. The National Wool Museum shop is open from 10am-3pm to purchase some local goodies and Christmas presents for your loved ones.
Please note: The health and safety of the community and staff remains top priority for all cultural venues; strict social distancing and hygiene rules apply.
The re-opening plan for venues follows the Victorian Government’s gradual easing of coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, which are subject to ongoing review. These venues have a COVIDSafe Plan in place including a range of health, hygiene and physical distancing measures, in line with government guidelines, to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.
