Geelong in the spotlight: ISOLAID Announces Artist Lineup
Sit back and take in the best of our region this weekend. Tune in Saturday 18 July: 2-4pm, when the award winning online music festival Isol-Aid shines the spotlight on Geelong and the Bellarine, the first regional centre in Australia to be showcased.
“Geelong and The Bellarine is home to so many talented and passionate musicians from across different genres, who are struggling to make a living during the pandemic. Isol-Aid will be a fantastic opportunity to support local artists and experience some amazing performances, while being connected with music lovers from across Australia. Make sure to give our local stars a leg up by live-streaming the event and donating if you can.” – Quotes attributed to Councillor Trent Sullivan, Chair – Arts, Culture and Heritage portfolio.
We are excited to announced the Line-Up featuring eight talented artists from the Geelong and the Bellarine. Jasper Jolley (Bones & Jones), Hassall, Mick Ryan, Rach Brennan & The Pines, Los Mariachis El Clifto! (Sarah Carroll/Fenn Wilson/George Wilson), Holly Joyce, Jeff Lang, BIN.
Playing live at eight different venues across the region, Isol-Aid proudly supports our musicians, helping to foster a sense of togetherness and community, the cornerstone of performing live.
Isol-Aid was created in response to the coronavirus pandemic, when it became apparent that musicians would be heavily impacted, with the cancellation of tours and gigs and the inability to play venues throughout Australia.
Every weekend, musicians play a 20-minute set streamed live via their Instagram accounts. At the end of each set, musicians tag-team to the next artist on the line-up, sending fans down a rabbit hole of new music discovery, community and good feelings.
Grab your device, charger, snacks and water bottle, and we’ll see you at the festival. Livestream, listen, buy and donate whatever you can when Isol-Aid shines the spotlight on our town.
