Geelong Small Business Festival is back in 2020

Geelong Small Business Festival is back in 2020 and will be held from 1 – 18 September! Expressions of Interest are now open for businesses and business experts to host these events.

It has been a very challenging time for businesses and for the broader community. Naturally this means the Festival will have to be a bit different this year as most events will be delivered online. The Festival wants to provide a chance for businesses and business people in the Geelong region to connect, learn and support each other. And would love to see businesses work together to deliver joint events.

They are looking for events that fit in to the following general themes. (They are also keen to hear your ideas and any specific topics you’d like to deliver):

  • Business essentials post COVID-19: (cash flow, finance, tax, legal and reopening safely)
  • Marketing, sales and promoting your business online: (branding, social media, PR, digital marketing, moving business online)
  • Starting a business: (business/ marketing plans, home-based businesses, side hustles and co-working spaces)
  • Growing your business and expanding your networks: (networking, local procurement, business mentoring, tips for success)
  • Career development, leading and managing people: (leadership, employing staff, outsourcing, managing/ motivating a team, culture, diversity)
  • Health and wellbeing: (keeping connected, staff safety and OH&S, mental and physical health)

Expression of Interests close Friday 17th July at 5pm for more information visit: https://geelong.smartygrants.com.au/GSBF20
