Have Your Say on the future of Arts & Culture in Geelong

Posted 7 August 2020

The City of Greater Geelong is developing a municipal Arts and Cultural Strategy, which will set the direction for further strengthening arts and culture in Geelong.

It will build on the arts, culture and heritage recovery initiatives announced this month and identify key priorities guiding Council investment and programs from 2020 – 2030.

An important part of developing this strategy is direct consultation with the communities that contribute to Geelong’s vibrant cultural life.

We are seeking further input from individuals and those that work in the creative industries, creative education, cultural and heritage organisations, businesses, or neighbourhood creative hubs to assist us as we develop a new Arts and Cultural Strategy.

We invite you to participate in this engagement before 5pm on Wednesday 12 August.

Read more about the key themes and issues. What do they mean to you, your creative career or practice, your organisation, business or sector? What do you see as our collective priorities? What’s missing? Respond to our questions in the survey or ask your own. Share your ideas on the Ideas Wall.

We are also facilitating workshops and you can register your interest in a sector focus group discussion.

These will be round table-style sessions, encouraging open dialogue to explore success factors, challenges and future needs of the arts, cultural and heritage sectors.

We welcome everyone to have your say on the future direction of arts, culture and heritage in Greater Geelong.
