Posted 17 August 2017

Following on from two already impressive lineup announcements, the Queenscliff Music Festival 2017 has another brilliant batch of artists ready to drop. This time it’s the international unveiling, with an array of eclectic talent from Canada and the USA joining the mix.

The third lineup is:

  • The East Pointers (CAN)
  • Gabriel Garzon-Montano (USA)
  • Irish Mythen (IRE/CAN)
  • Lindi Ortega (CAN)
  • Ron Artis II & The Truth (USA)
  • Too Many Zooz (USA)
  • Travis Bowlin (USA)

Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzon-Montano was made famous when Drake sampled his voice, but Montano is more than just a featuring artist and has a slew of interesting and addictive original songs to showcase this November. NYC trio Too Many Zooz shot to prominence in similar circumstances, going from busking in city subways to sharing the stage with Beyonce, and they too will bring an energetic & polished live set to the Queenscliff stage.

Canada-based, Irish singer-songwriter Irish Mythen will quench your thirst for humour as well as music, as she’s known for her witty turn of phrase as well as her stirring songwriting. Based in Nashville, Canadian artist Lindi Ortega will bring her a-grade country twang to the festival, having previously supported Carrie Underwood, performed at the Grand Ole Opry and received critical praise from NPR, Rolling Stone & Billboard. Also hailing from the land of the maple leaf are string players and singers The East Pointers. Consisting of two cousins from Prince Edward Island and a guitarist from Ontario, the popular trio are sure to get your hands clapping and feet stomping.

Hawaiin blues/jazz/soul musician Ron Artis II will bring one of his three bands, The Truth, to Queenscliff this November to showcase his latest outfit – and prepare to be amazed as he often makes up new songs on the spot! Finally, America’s smoky-voiced Travis Bowlin is returning to Australia to bring his roots vibe seaside.

Running from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 November, the Queenscliff Music Festival is gaining momentum every year. The festival has become renowned for appealing to music lovers of all kinds, as well as being one of Australia’s best family friendly events!
