Last Chance! Archibald has (almost) Left the Building

Posted 15 November 2018

Time is running out on your chance to view the best in Australian portraiture painting.

The 2018 Archibald Prize is one of Australia’s favourite art awards. A stalwart of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Archibald award was first awarded in 1921, after the Geelong-born J F Archibald (and publisher of the Bulletin) left a bequest in his will.

Since its inception, the Prize has been engaging art enthusiasts, often stirring up controversy and always challenging the way we see ourselves and our society.

Don’t miss your chance to explore the award, presented to the best portrait painting.

The Geelong Gallery is gearing up for a big weekend this weekend, so make sure you book before you arrive.
