TEACHER: Joel Wolter
DATE: Sat Sep 30th
TIME: 10am – 4pm
LOCATION: QG&W mezzanine & print studios
This workshop will provide an introduction to unique state printmaking – a form of printmaking where just one single print is made from the matrix.
Unique State printmaking encourages participants to work more freely. Without the worry of editioning, other aspects and materials such as layering, collage, multiple colours, mixing of inks, collagraph and even chine collé are more easily implemented.
Participants are welcome to bring along any materials or items they would like to use to make unique marks or incorporate into their finished piece but this is not a prerequisite. QG&W will have various papers, coloured inks, ply wood, and other objects to help with original mark making.
This workshop will prepare you to use the access studio at QG&W with supervision.
