Local Cultural Venue Updates

Important Update:

In line with the Victorian Government Stage 3 Restrictions for our region to help combat the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) all arts and cultural venues throughout Geelong are now closed until further notice. BUT… you can jump online and view virtual exhibitions, live events and talks and experience art from your couch at home! See a list below of what venues have to offer:

National Wool Museum: We The Makers Exhibition is still live online, the exhibition showcases immense technicality, precision, addressing the festival theme of Design for the Future. Join the National Wool Museum mailing list for interesting stories, crafts and online exhibitions to come.

PLATFORM Arts: A range of opportunities for emerging artists to apply for funding and support during unprecedented times, Platform Arts has now launched it’s LAB Residency program.

Geelong Art Centre: Where Creativity Meets Home; a collection of performances to enjoy wherever you are and whoever you’re with. Bringing you a regular dose of creativity, direct from their theatres to your home. View our event listings to discover what performances will be coming to your lounge room each week.

Geelong Gallery: If you haven’t done so already now is your time to explore Kate Beynon – kindred spirits exhibition with a 360 view of the space and gain a further insight into the exhibition with Lisa Sullivan in an interview. Art + Connect @ Home is also an opportunity to get creative find more about this here.

Geelong Regional Libraries: Your library @ home is still available providing a hub of entertainment, educational and informative video content, podcasts, downloadable resources and links for children, young people and adults. Check out virtual events that will be happening also.
