Major investment in the creative industries

The State Government is investing in the creative and cultural industries, recognising the essential service it plays in the health and well-being of Victorians.

Victoria’s reputation as the nation’s cultural capital will be permanently cemented, thanks to a massive new investment in the Victorian Budget 2020-21 that will support Australia’s largest cultural infrastructure project and provide $220 million for creative spaces, organisations and workers to rebuild, recover and bring their creative ideas to life.

Suburbs and regions across Victoria are being supported and recognised alongside Melbourne, bringing art to every corner of our state.

The budget aims to support our Geelong Region through a range of exciting new development outcomes including the Geelong Arts Centre, Kardinia Park Stadium Stage 5 Redevelopment & Geelong Fast Rail.
