Melbourne Design Week coming to Geelong in 2019

Posted 8 October 2018

How can design shape the future?

That’s the question being asked by the team behind Melbourne Design Week who, for the first time, will expand the highly acclaimed program into Geelong in March 2019.

In an exciting coup for Geelong and the City of Design designation, our region’s creative and business community are invited to participate and host their own series of events, on Geelong soil that celebrates intersections, tackles issues and explores new modes of activity under the theme Design Experiments.

Melbourne Design Week is Australia’s leading annual international design event, delivered and supported by Creative Victoria and NGV. It links creativity with business and community, providing a platform for the Australian design industry to express, question, propose and test ideas. Now entering its third year, Melbourne Design Week engages with diverse industry sectors and an active design community to offer an ever-expanding program of exhibitions, launches, talks, tours, workshops and more.
