Creative Futures funding for design learning and thinking in schools
Creative Futures (Limited) is nurturing the next generation of artists, designers and design thinkers through its Schools Scholarships and Grants Program.

What is on offer?

Creative Futures scholarships and grants are aimed at developing design thinking skills and improving performance of teachers and students across studies in the broader curriculum as well as developing skills that students can use across other study areas and later in tertiary studies and employment.

Applications are being accepted in two different areas:

1. Professional Development Scholarships
For the professional development of secondary school teachers in the areas of design and design thinking through attendance at conferences, courses, workshops or residencies both in Australia and overseas. Support is available for attendance fees and to assist with travel costs, to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

2. Curriculum Project and Materials Grant
To support the application of design and design thinking knowledge to the development of curriculum projects and/or classroom practice. This could include the cost of materials and manufacturing to realise innovative projects that would advance teaching practice across school projects.

Who is the opportunity for?

Secondary schools and teachers - with priority given to year 9-12 teachers and to teachers within schools in disadvantaged regions.
