What is on offer?
The Festival is keen to involve young people in an appreciation of maritime heritage and its impact on contemporary life.
We are calling on film/video makers between the ages of 16 and 25 to submit a work on the theme “Winds of Change”.
Expressions of interest are open until June 23 2019.
The final work, of any genre (animation, narrative film, video art etc), will be required to be submitted by December 12, 2019, 12.00pm AEST.
Subject matter that demonstrates a connection to Australian maritime heritage or sailing will be highly valued.
Entries will be judged by local identities from the creative fields and cash prizes awarded. Shortlisted entries will be screened during the Wooden Boat Festival over 7-9 March 2020 at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club.
Who is the opportunity for?Anyone between the ages of 16 and 25.
Who is providing the opportunity?The Committee of the Wooden Boat Festival with the support of the Rotary Club of Geelong Central and judges from Geelong film and creative industries.
