Re-imagine the future of the arts industry

Discover what’s next!

The Australian Council for the Arts have heard from many artists, cultural practitioners and organisations through industry round tables, surveys, informal conversations and focus groups. As individuals and organisations deal with and respond to the immediate crisis, the next phase of the Re-activate program has announced.

The next phase of the Re-activate program is future focused, where all segments and players across the industry will play a role in determining and creating the future of our industries. This point forms a discussion around the current situation, identifying the opportunities for change, and will provide an opportunity for a national conversation about the shared future that we can create.

How will the Australian Council for the Arts conduct this dialogue?

Throughout September and October 2020, the Australian Council for the Arts invites you to engage via their online portal and through a series of online town hall discussions. In addition, there will be a range of focus groups that align with their key questions.

The two big questions are:

  • What do we want the arts and cultural industries to look like in 2030?
  • How do we get there?

Bringing together your thoughts and ideas a published summary of the findings will be shared. It will be up to you and all members of the arts and cultural industries, present and emerging, to reflect, discuss, and act.
