When will the grants open?
Any decision to re-open the grants will be guided by the latest advice from Commonwealth and State authorities and take into consideration the needs of our community and the capacity for groups to organise themselves to apply for funding.
Updates and information will be posted on the Geelong Australia website at www.geelongaustralia.com.au/grants
Will my current grant be affected?
There is no change to grants already announced for 2019-20.
I received a grant but haven’t finished my project. Will this decision affect my funding?
No. There is no change to funding decisions already made. You are still required to meet the obligations of your current funding agreement and there is a general expectation that projects are completed and acquitted within 12 months of receiving a grant. If you are unable to continue or complete your project for any reason, please contact our grants team to discuss.
Where else can I get support?
Please visit our Coronavirus Support page for information about impacts on City events, services and facilities. www.geelongaustralia/covid19.
What happens to my strategic partnership?
The decision to suspend the grants program does not apply to Strategic Partnerships. However care should be taken to consider the impact of COVID-19 on group’s ability to deliver activities and adjusted accordingly.
When will the review take place?
Details of the process and timing of the review are yet to be decided. Contributing factors include timing of recovery from the pandemic, the 2020-21 budget position, the impact of existing support packages and potentially the timing of the Council election.
