We The Makers Design Festival – Update

In response to the anticipated spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, the National Wool Museum is postponing the launch and exhibition related activities for We The Makers Design Festival until late June 2020 (subject to further notice).

The National Wool Museum has appreciated all the designers and makers who have planned and worked so hard to meet the Festival deadlines and participate in the inaugural We The Makers program.

Entries to the Designer Showcase have now closed and judging is underway. The top 20 entrants to the Designer Showcase will be contacted in the coming weeks.

They are still encouraging entries to the Makers Marketplace. Given the current circumstances the Makers Marketplace deadline has been extended to Monday 4 May 2020 – ENTER HERE

Whilst the Museum offices and galleries are closed to the public until 1 April 2020, anyone who submits their entries online will be entered into the National Wool Museum system and will be kept updated about any changes.

Postage of items can be held for the time being and all entrants will be contacted, informing them of when the National Wool Museum will be open to receive entries.

The National Wool Museum will continue to assess the situation and, based upon government and health professionals’ recommendations, plan a path forward and communicate updates as they arise.
