A  Midsummer Night’s Dream by Melbourne City Ballet

Shakespeare’s classic tale A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed by the Melbourne City Ballet in an intimate setting at the Potato Shed.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is set in the great city of Athens where the lives of four Athenian lovers are twisted and turned by the meddling of the fairies who live in a forest. When the young lovers find themselves lost in the woods they mysteriously become infatuated with the wrong person.

With a full cast of talented artists, dazzling costumes and beautiful sets, Artistic Director Michael Pappalardo will take audiences on a journey to the borders of Shakespeare’s Athens-Fairyland to experience the magic, mischief and love that is “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

Audiences will have a unique opportunity to witness up close the beauty of ballet and even hear the soft steps of ballet dancers as they elegantly and effortlessly pirouette.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed Thursday 24th August at 8pm at the Potato Shed, 20-41 Peninsula Drive, Drysdale. Tickets can be booked at the Potato Shed or over the phone on 5251 1998 or at the City of Greater Geelong Customer Service Centre.
